A Day at Mutley’s Crew
Daycare is at Field 1
A huge securely fenced private safe and secure field.
We have a large permanent building, fully equipped with dog beds and toys for the rare times we are inside.
A large covered terrace for protection against the sun and rain
Your dogs day is filled with adventure, fun and rest, in equal measure
We spend our time in our large, secure 6 acre field where the dogs can run off-lead, sniff, play, or just hang out in the sun.
Each group is carefully balanced, so every dog feels comfortable and confident-wether they are a social butterfly or prefer a bit of space
At the end of the day, they come home happy, relaxed, and ready to snooze

Our pick up door to door service is available within a certain radius of our Field at BR2 6AR
Currently it’s available from Orpington area to the Beckenham area. Please let us know where you are and we’ll see if we can accommodate you.

Many dogs find busy spaces overwhelming — especially if they’re anxious, fearful, or reactive.
Would you like to be able to walk your dog in a stress free environment all to yourself?
Would you like to able to train your dog outside or invite their friends or even have a puppy party?
A private dog field gives you both the space to breathe. Safe, enclosed, and quiet — it’s the perfect setting for calm, confident play and connection.
Private Field Hire in BR2
At Mutley’s Crew we have TWO huge six acre fields available to hire.
Both Fields are very securely fenced and are located in Layhams Rd BR2 6AR.
Field 1 is located at the junction of Layhams Rd and King Henry’s Drive. Huge six acre plot with a separate locked car park, a large covered terrace, fresh water and bowls , dog poo bins and a portaloo.
All you need for a fun session with your dog!
Field 2 is a similar size. It’s on Oakshaw Farm in Layhams Rd nr the Met Police Dog Centre. It has a more open rural aspect with stunning countryside views.
It has a separate locked car park for security , fresh water and bowls, dog poo bins and a separate toilet.
Please note: It’s a rural setting, consequently there are horses in the adjacent fields, however they are away from the field boundary.

Why Our Off-Lead Socialisation Classes Work
Many dogs labelled as “reactive” show a completely different side once they’re given the right environment. In our socialisation classes, we’ve seen over and over again that once off-lead — and once they’ve had a chance to adjust — these same dogs can cope calmly and confidently with other dogs nearby.
This shows something important: most dogs are not innately reactive. They don’t inherently dislike people or other dogs. What they’ve lacked is freedom — the freedom to move naturally, to observe, to choose, to learn how to set and respect boundaries without being interrupted, recalled too early, or restrained on a lead.
Our approach gives dogs the chance to practise these skills in a calm, safe space — without the pressure, tension or interference that often comes from being constantly managed. The result? More relaxed, social dogs — and more confident, trusting owners.
Saturday Off-Lead Socialisation Classes
At Mutley’s Crew, our off-lead socialisation classes are designed to give dogs the freedom to learn, communicate and feel comfortable around other dogs — without constant interruption or unnecessary control.
We run two classes every Saturday morning, each tailored to support different dogs and learning needs.
9.30am Larger breeds and this with prey drive.
This session is suitable for:
• Larger breeds
• Dogs with prey drive
• Dogs who need to rebuild or refine their social skills
• Dogs with unreliable recall
• Dogs who benefit from learning in a safe, managed space
This class allows dogs to move, observe, and interact at their own pace while being carefully supervised.
It’s ideal for dogs who may struggle in busy public spaces but thrive when given the freedom to learn calmly and naturally.
11:15am — Smaller Dogs, Puppies & Younger Dogs
This session is suitable for:
Smaller breeds
Puppies and young dogs
Dogs without prey drive
This class is especially valuable for puppies, offering them the opportunity to develop essential social skills during their early learning stages.
Dogs learn how to read body language, understand boundaries, and interact appropriately with others — skills that form the foundation for confident, relaxed off-lead behaviour later in life.
A learning Environment, Not a training Class
Both sessions are calm, supportive learning environments.
Rather than relying on constant commands or control, we allow dogs the space to:
• Learn social communication
• Understand and respect boundaries
• Build confidence around other dogs
These experiences help dogs develop the skills they need to enjoy a more fulfilling, relaxed life off lead.
At Mutley’s Crew, we believe we get better behaviour not by doing more — but by doing less, and trusting dogs to learn the way they’re supposed to.
Fun and Play Sessions
Fun & Play Sessions at Field 1
Alongside our Daycare service, we also offer Fun & Play Sessions at Field 1 — a relaxed, enriching option where you can leave your dog with us and know they’re in safe, experienced hands.
Dogs can join us for 1 to 3 hours and will be thoughtfully integrated into our daycare group, enjoying free movement, play, rest and social interaction in a managed, natural environment.
This service is perfect if you:
• Have an appointment or meeting
• Need a few uninterrupted hours
• Fancy catching up with friends over coffee
• Want your dog to burn energy in a positive, social way
Before joining, we’ll arrange a suitability session to make sure this option is right for your dog and that everyone has the best possible experience.

There are a few conditions , which we’ll always discuss openly with you beforehand — transparency and welfare come first.
